# Inbox Triage Framework

## The four buckets

1. **Action required by exec** — needs their decision, signature, or judgement
2. **Action required by EA** — you can handle on their behalf
3. **FYI only** — log or file, no action
4. **Delete / archive** — no further value

## Decision rules

- Anything under 2 minutes that you can do → do it now
- Anything from a top-10 stakeholder → flag for exec same day
- Anything with a deadline → diary entry created before filing
- Anything you would not want them to see → respond and close

## Daily rhythm

- **08:30 sweep** — flag for the day
- **12:30 sweep** — clear morning replies
- **16:30 sweep** — close out and queue tomorrow

## Weekly

- Friday 30 min review of "Action required by exec" backlog
- Archive everything FYI older than 30 days
